In this pre-Christmas frenzy, we forget that we have plenty of clothes, books, items that we no longer use at home, and maybe even products of our own making that could be a perfect gift for one of our relatives, friends or colleagues. Of course, not with everyone è it is advisable to use second-hand products, maybe you can’choose a group of people who share with you the idea of reuse and recycling and propose bartering used items.

An idea for developing this type of gift exchange, could be to identify people in your circle of acquaintances and through messaging systems, invite these people to your “Christmas bartering” project. The message could include various concepts, from saving money, to reducing pollution, from zero waste, to zero waste. Once you have contacted, with the people interested in your proposal, arrange a meeting for gift bartering, it could be an aperitif, a dinner, or something else, where, in addition to exchanging holiday greetings, you will also exchange gifts that you have prepared for each participant. Sort of what Americans call a Swap Party.

Obviously this è just an idea, someone else might simply think of their own family and use the usual gatherings for the bartering of gifts.
